You and Your Husband
Redemption and grace unfold as we begin to realize man can’t save us, only God. There is always hope! Love happens when you put God first. Deliverance and peace take the place of rejection, shame and guilt. Remember when Jesus spoke to the Samaritan woman at the well? First off, he took the time to ‘talk with her’. He knew full well what she had done in her life, and he did not shame her by using words that were demeaning or offensive. She took the initiative, and asked Jesus straight out why he was asking her for a drink when it was culturally unacceptable in those days for a Jew to speak to a Samaritan, let alone a woman. Wow! Talk about bold. Jesus, being God himself could have shamed her just for her boldness, but he didn’t. Instead, he began to tell her about the gift of eternal life. That’s compassion! Jesus told her about her past marriages and how she was now living with a man, but still he did not shame her. He continued to have a matter-of-fact conversation with her and stuck to the facts. Salvation and the Truest of Love at work. Grab a bible and read this fascinating story that flies in the face of judgement and hypocrisy. John 4:7-27

Having very similar paths in life with Terri, I'm amazed at God's grace and strength. "Where's My Husband?" is truly inspirational and identifiable. The struggles, pain, and healing redemption of love are captured so beautifully by the author. As her struggle pursues from childhood to adulthood, you see the workings of Christ as she captures a marvelous picture of God's hand upon her life. It's a remarkable read, one that should be savored and not rushed. Multiple marriages as a Christian woman can bring shame and criticism - but Terri clearly identifies Jesus as the author and finisher of our lives. There is no shame when we begin to reflect on our own decisions, what has led us to multiple marriages, and how to stop the endless cycle. Putting Christ first, acknowledging Him as our Savior, Creator, Healer, Wise Counselor, and HUSBAND, we can begin the healing process and find true LOVE in Him - God will provide the rest as He sees fit!

Sweet
Surrender
The Sovereignty of God is GREATER than the power of discouraging circumstances. When God speaks, it is a divine covenant in which we can rest. It’s a divine covenant which actually ENABLES US to rest in God for a positive final outcome. For those things that don't turn out the way we think they should, the way we think they could, or even the way we pray. The Lord can overrule your prayer anytime He wants to. You can pray one way but God sometimes moves another way. But when He does, He always ends up fulfilling His promise one way or another. Maybe not the way we want, but the way His sovereign authority chooses. This is the basis for sweet surrender.
stop thinking
START LIVING.
Thinking too much can be detrimental to the mind, body and spirit. Taking control of your thoughts on a moment-by-moment basis is vital on the journey to healing and hope.
Believing what God say's about you is more important than anything else.
IT OUTWEIGHS your past.
IT OUTWEIGHS what other people think about you AND say about you.
GOD HAS THE FINAL WORD.
NOT YOUR THOUGHTS.
NOT YOUR PAST.
NOT ANYONE ELSE.
DECLARE
Your SOUL TO BELIEVE
and
Your ENEMY TO LEAVE!
HOPE
healing

are
yours for the taking.
Once we recognize sin in our lives and ask God to forgive us, He does, and that's that! We are no longer under the bondage of guilt and shame.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 John 1:9
He has not dealt with us according to our sins [as we deserve],
Nor rewarded us [with punishment] according to our wickedness.
For as the heavens are high above the earth,
So great is His lovingkindness toward those who fear and worship Him [with awe-filled respect and deepest reverence].
As far as the east is from the west,
So far has He removed our transgressions from us.
Psalm 103:10-12
GOD WANTS US TO FIGHT!
When the children of Israel attempted to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem, Sanballat, a Samaritan leader and contemporary of Nehemiah, along with others tried to fight against the jewish people, and to strike fear into their hearts by discouraging and disturbing them from the long and difficult work. We too have enemies who want to do the same to us today and everyday, but we need to fight and to STAND ON GOD'S WORD AS THE FINAL OUTCOME. When Nehemiah saw the people ready to "Quit", here is what he told them:
When I saw their fear, I stood and said to the nobles and officials and the rest of the people: “Do not be afraid of them; [confidently] remember the Lord who is great and awesome, and [with courage from Him] fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and for your homes.”
Nehemiah 4:14
