Many believe that God exists, and that He loves us. Many believe that He created the world, and even that He will return someday to reclaim us to ever be with him in Heaven. Most of us have a deep-rooted desire to eventually rest with Him for all eternity. Many who either don't believe in God or that He loves them, do believe that all will eventually die or cease to exist in this current state, and that there is some spiritual after life that awaits. All of mankind desires to love and be loved, conquer and sometimes be conquered, but none has been able to completely overcome the sadness and hopelessness of disappointment and difficulty in this life. Be encouraged, that's completely natural and expected because of our nature.
When this happens, DON'T MOVE, BE STILL, AND KNOW THAT HE IS GOD! Psalm 46:10
Sometimes that is all we can do. We are living in overwhelmingly trying and difficult times. Our faith as believers is being tried by the fire of life's circumstances. People all over the world have extreme challenges, of all walks of life. Think with me for a moment. Have you ever wondered why when Jesus Christ hung on the cross before he took his last breath of air in his lungs, he screamed out, "Father, Father"? We can only imagine how much anguish Jesus felt in his body, mind, and spirit at that time, due to the extreme pain, heavy burden of mankind's sins as the ultimate sacrifice for them, all in the form of a man, with all of the thoughts and emotions of a man. It is safe to say that he experienced the same difficulty of sadness, anguish and disappointment that we often do in this life. This is why he tells us throughout the Word of God not to be afraid. He does understand.
We spend every waking hour of every day working, ministering, cooking, cleaning, driving, reading, praying, helping, talking, THINKING and DOING.
Remember Martha and Mary?
Now while they were on their way, Jesus entered a village [called Bethany], and a woman named Martha welcomed Him into her home. She had a sister named Mary, who seated herself at the Lord’s feet and was continually listening to His teaching. But Martha was very busy and distracted with all of her serving responsibilities; and she approached Him and said, “Lord, is it of no concern to You that my sister has left me to do the serving alone? Tell her to help me and do her part.” But the Lord replied to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered and anxious about so many things; but only one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part [that which is to her advantage], which will not be taken away from her.” Luke 10:38-42
So when you find yourself DOWN, DON'T MOVE, BE STILL!
