I love the way my husband, Jesus Christ, wakes me up and gives me wisdom from above to lead me through yet another experience, don’t you? This is what He has for us wives today.
On a month long road trip with my husband I was reminded by the Holy Spirit that I can be at total Peace no matter the circumstances around me, and that our Lord is always in control. My past experiences can sometimes cause ‘triggers’ that I may or may not be aware of, but I can be aware, and then take quick action to ‘bring myself about‘ to enjoy the experience God has for me and those around me.
I personally find great comfort in the presence of my husband, and I want him to have the same experiences with the Lord I do, but as the world spins more and more out of control I find myself more and more in the flesh trying to control my circumstances thereby giving havoc more playtime then it deserves.
“I know that my experience is not his experience. But, YOU, in your infinite Love and Grace, made sure you put us together, so that my experience CAN BE his experience, and more than I could ever conjur up or imagine, if, I trust you and not try to control the experience, while YOU are giving him YOUR EXPERIENCE”.
“Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands; that, if any obey not the word, they also may without the word be won by the conversation of the wives; While they behold your chaste conversation coupled with fear. Whose adorning let it not be that outward adorning of plaiting the hair, and of wearing of gold, or of putting on of apparel; But let it be the hidden man of the heart, in that which is not corruptible, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. For after this manner in the old time the holy women also, who trusted in God, adorned themselves, being in subjection unto their own husbands: Even as Sara obeyed Abraham, calling him Lord: whose daughters ye are, as long as ye do well, and are not afraid with any amazement.”
1 Peter 3:1-6 KJV
Conquer the world = Love of the Father
Victory over the flesh = thru the Holy Spirit
Power over the devil = In the Son of God (His Word)
In a world that seems out of control, we can be certain that HE CONTROLS IT ALL.
“Thus saith the Lord, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest? For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the Lord: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.” Isaiah 66:1-2 KJV
