Now is the time to stay packed and ready to go. This is your journey alone. You know what God has called only you to do. He is faithful and will bring it to pass. But if you have fallen slave to hopelessness, doubt, and fear it will hold you captive, if you let it. Don't let it. It is your choice. If you woke today with air in your lungs, there is Hope. There is always Hope.
Has God given you a vision? Have words of prophecy been spoken over you only to be dashed upon the despairing crags of this life? Time does not dictate the truth of God's calling for you. We are not subject to our circumstances or the people around us. God always makes a way when there seems to be no way, but, it takes FAITH.
The Book of Hebrews chapter 11 describes this kind of Faith.
"Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen."
Hebrews 11: 1 KJV
Take King David for example. He fled to the cave at Adulam for fear of Saul who wanted to take his life. But when David's family and friends heard he was hiding in the cave they went to him, and everyone who was hopeless, bitter, and discouraged, were helped by him. He spoke words of life and encouragement and they knew he would, he couldn't help but do what God had called him to do. His call was ever on his life regardless of his circumstances, feelings, or thoughts. He too was challenged to get up and leave the cave and do the work God called him to do.
Active, alive, and present faith is the actual physical substance, coming into being the things we have hope in, such as our calling. It is the actual physical evidence, seeing and experiencing things that have not been realized yet, maybe due to the conclusions in our heads that tell us, "It will never happen".
The Lord told Moses he would rain bread from heaven but the children of Israel would have to gather it each day, in doing so, God would know if they would truly follow His calling. Exodus 16:4. He wanted them to do it His way. It was a task and a test.
"He who gathers during the summer and takes advantage of his opportunities is a son who acts wisely, But he who sleeps during harvest and ignores the moment of opportunity is a son who acts shamefully." Proverbs 10:5 AMP
We must do the work of God who sent us while it is day; for the night is coming when no one can work. John 9:4.
"Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.
Colossians 4:5,6 KJV
We are called to be God's reflection to others who are hopeless and in despair, seizing the time God has given us for this task. Not because we are perfect, but because we believe Him to bring it to pass no matter our humanity.
Time is on your side now while you are alive and it is up to you to "seize it". If you do not, time will pass and regret may seize your conscience as it reminds you of what God called you to do. Time can not be recaptured once it is gone, and there is a time coming when it will stop as we know it now.
On a journey of Healing and Hope with you,
Terri Lynne
