How did we get here? Where are we going? Where do we go from here? While these questions scamper about in our minds, amidst a barrage of dark and difficult circumstances, remember…….we hold the precious gift to ‘choose’ our thoughts and actions.
Ushered in again, to ‘The Most Wonderful Time of The Year’, yet days which the adversary longs to ‘wear us out’, we can contemplate and not anguish what gifts to give this season.
The gift of choice from our Loving Savior is powerful to move us to victory or defeat, it is our decision, we get to choose. Love is the most valuable gift we can choose to give ourselves and others.
“Love suffers long and is kind, Love envies not. Love vaunts not itself, is not puffed up. Does not behave itself unseemly, seeks not her own. Is not easily provoked, thinks no evil. Rejoices not in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth. Bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.“ 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
“I am giving you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, so you too are to love one another.” John 13:34 AMP
One of my most cherished gifts from God is my very precocious and uninhibited 13 year old granddaughter, Destiny, who lives in a constant motion of Love and thoughtfulness towards others. I marvel at her giving state of mind and big heart no matter the toughness of people around her.
All we need is to choose Love no matter our feelings, actions of others, or the awful truth of evil. This is already our gift from Jesus the One we serve, that we walk with by FAITH, AND NOT BY SIGHT! Let’s give these gifts to others. It is the Holy Spirits work to give us what we need to survive, and He does as we choose to Love.
