Blood, with its extraordinary color and unexpected appearance, often causes strong, lasting emotional reactions stemming from an injury, death, or even life. These emotional experiences can become long-term memories depending upon the impact or severity of the bloody event. According to many doctors and psychologists, these memories can become part of our personality and our biology.
When memory is traumatic, it can haunt without conviction, maiming the traumatized to suffer repeatedly. Silently. But when memory is soothing and even cheering, such as a welcomed gift of a forgiven debt, it brings with it a lifetime of satisfying emotions, capable of sweeping away any future despairs.
Think of the woman with the issue of blood in the bible. She was long a slave to ceaseless bleeding which made her an outcast in the eyes of others. Maybe she searched for an inconspicuous place to wash her garments in a desperate attempt to avoid confrontation. Nevertheless, persistent feelings of rejection must have been daunting as people shunned her for her uncleanness.
Today, we have instant access to no questions asked pharmaceuticals that can end life in the womb, phrased lightly as 'self-managed abortion or home abortion'. Sadly for many, and many more to come, their homes and their bathrooms meant to bring comfort and cleansing, have become private abortion clinics. Secret rooms of darkness and death.
The blood and the life cannot be expelled.
The blood and the life cannot be silently flushed away.
The blood and the life cannot be erased nor forgotten.
No Doubt a Deluge of Brokenness will come from these tragic liberties.
In contrast, the blood shed by Jesus Christ on the cross continually washes and cleanses from all unrighteousness, and anyone who believes and receives this truth overcomes all trauma, and all despair.
"I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life." John 14:6 KJV
"I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you." John 14:18 KJV
Maybe you feel inept to help those suffering from a self-managed or home abortion. You need only to remember His Word.
"Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts."
Zechariah 4:6 KJV
"For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable (for He does not withdraw what He has given, nor does He change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call)."
Romans 11:29 AMP
With an urgent readiness and sole trust in the blood of Jesus Christ, He will use us to give an answer to the grief-stricken hearts with the Issue of Blood.
On a journey of Healing and Hope with you,
Terri Lynne
